Special sections of Purnia have tried to spoil the communal atmosphere. Where Chhath Ghats at two different places in Purnia were vandalized and completely destroyed. After which there is a lot of anger among the people. The police team is camping there after the incident. On receiving the information, Purnia DM Kundan Kumar and SP Karthikeya Sharma reached the spot and calmed the atmosphere by convincing the people. The matter pertains to Mala village of Bayasi police station of Purnia district and Kanhariya village of Dagrua police station. Where all the Varti and devotees reached home after offering Arghya to the setting sun. After that, special class people vandalized Chhath Ghat in an attempt to spoil the atmosphere.

According to the local people, the great festival of faith is being celebrated with great pomp in the district. On the third day of the great festival of faith i.e. Thursday evening, all the devotees and devotees had reached Chhath Ghat near the house. Where after offering Arghya to the setting sun, all the devotees returned home. Meanwhile, in an attempt to spoil the atmosphere, some special class people reached Chhath Ghat and vandalized the ghat decorated with flowers and leaves on banana thumps within a short time. As soon as the local devotees got wind of this, they reached Chhath Ghat and started protesting expressing their displeasure.
Local people said that a special class has tried to harm the great festival of faith, Chhath Puja. This is never tolerable. People said that if the administration does not take action against the special category within 24 hours, we will not remain silent. On receiving the information, Purnia DM Kundan Kumar and SP Karthikeya Sharma reached the spot and calmed the atmosphere by convincing the people. At the same spot, teams of district administration and police administration including DCLR are camping.
Meanwhile, Bayasi SDPO Aditya Kumar told that some miscreants have vandalized the banana thump at Chhath Ghat. After reaching the spot on information, the matter was calmed down by convincing the people. Police is camping at the spot. The atmosphere is completely calm. Action is being taken against mischievous youth.
